Gentle body scrubs are a good way to prepare your skin for sunbathing, while a series of more thorough ones will regenerate your skin and preserve your tan once you return home.
To protect itself from the sun, the skin grows thicker. So, after a few weeks of sunbathing, it has to get rid of more dead cells than usual. Helping it to do this will make your tan glow and last longer. What’s more, your skin will breathe better. There’s no need to worry that a body scrub will remove some of your tan. In fact, it will do the opposite. Once or twice a week, use an exfoliating gel: it will clean the pores and accelerate the removal of dead cells.
This is the best form of body scrub. After relaxing in a moderately hot steam room, the upper layer of your skin will become softer, so treat yourself to an exfoliating massage. As the dead cells fall away, your skin will start to tingle, looking brighter and rejuvenated.
