Your night-time skincare treatments continue to work while you sleep, so give them plenty of time to do their job. After all, it’s your night off!

Working thorough the night

Sun, holidays and carefree sleep should all go together. If you’re sleeping until very late in the morning, make sure your skins recuperate, It never stops working: renewing and repairing damage and eliminating waste. If you have been sunbathing, it has plenty to do. Your skin is busiest around midnight, so try to apply your night time skincare before then. If you spent a good part of the day in the sun, it’s a good idea to have an early night.

Denser and more concentrated

Night time skincare products are usually denser and richer in active ingredients than ones manufactured for daytime use. Essential fatty acids, in particular, are present in more concentrated form in night products, and the same goes for vitamins, fruit acids and plant DNA extracts. Around half and hour before bedtime and before applying your night cream, cleanse your face thoroughly and use a face mask. It will make your night cream even more effective.
