Your face sees the light of day more than your body and becomes more acclimatized to the sun when fine weather comes. Both your face and your body need to be treated with care… but not in the same way.
Facial skin is exposed all year round. It is subjected to the cold of winter, the dampness of autumn and the fierce heat of the summer sun. It therefore needs moisturizing morning and evening. In winter, one session a week of a skin scrub and moisturizing milk is adequate for the body.
In summer, however, you need to take more care of your body’s skin. Facial skin gradually adapts to the sun’s rays and there are plenty of day creams containing filters to protect it from UV light. When you go for your first sunbathing session, it will already have produced a little melanin. The body’s skin, however, with the exception of the arms and legs, will often not have seen any sunlight for a long time. So make sure you protect it well by moisturizing it more frequently (at least once every other day and certainly after every sunbathing session).
Remember to moisturize your lips as they are particularly sensitive. The skin here is very fine with many blood vessels just below the surface. In winter, lips often suffer from chapping, while in summer they dry and crack in the sun. Use a lip balm regularly, both in summer and winter.
