1400 Calorie a day diet plan.

Recently after reading "The 90/10 Weight loss plan" from Joy bauer,i have found a diet plan called "1400 calories" in the book which is quite effective as i have lost some weight,although there is more than 1 diet plan i think this suit me the most.If you wish to find out more you can buy the book.Basically the diet plan is to keep your intake of calories daily at 1400 level through the selected food menu.I have try the diet plan but did a little changes to the menu provided by the book(Of coz before you replace the menu with your own you have to calculate or check the calories of the food you gonna to replace with).Lastly i would like to say that inorder to succeed you must have good self disciple. Here is a example how the plan look like:

DAY 1

Enjoy one Fun Food at the time of day of your choosing.

Breakfast

  • 1 serving oatmeal, prepared with water *
  • 3 level tablespoons raisins, 1 banana, or 1 1/2 cups berries or melon Coffee or tea (skim milk optional)
  • * Use 1 packet dry, instant oatmeal, any flavor that is less than 150 calories per serving, or you can use 1/2 cup dry, traditional oatmeal, with cinnamon to taste.

Lunch

  • Open-faced tuna melt *
  • 1 orange
  • Water or seltzer
  • *spread 3 ounces water-packet tuna (mixed with 1 level tablespoon low-fat mayonnaise) over 2 slices toasted reduced-calorie, whole-wheat bread. Top each half with slices tomato, onion and 1 slice low-fat cheese. Baked or toast until cheese melts.

Snack

  • 1 apple

Dinner

  • Chicken stir-fry *
  • 1/2 cup brown or couscous
  • Water or seltzer
  • *Stir-fry 5 ounces boneless/skinless chicken breast (cut in to strips) in 2 teaspoons vegetable oil until almost cooked.Add 2 cup mixed vegetables (snow peas, mushroom, broccoli) and low-sodium soy sauce.Stir-fry until chicken is thoroughly cooked.

Wow! This will help me on my weight loss diet. smile It has been a couple of weeks already and I lost more than 12 pounds! I love reading and I am always searching for informative articles about weight loss!
